Self-check
A quick claims-leakage self-check.
These are the places channel claims quietly leak, in both directions. No login, no numbers to enter — just the patterns worth checking. If a few sound familiar, a retrospective puts a figure and the evidence against each one, on your own claims.
Where channel claims leak
Tier mismatch
A credit claimed at a higher tier than the partner’s attainment actually supports.
Duplicate claims
The same line submitted more than once — across periods, files, or partners.
Expired terms
Claims made under a tier, price list or agreement that was no longer in effect.
Eligibility mismatch
A product, customer or channel the programme does not actually cover.
End-customer classification
A rebate claimed for the wrong customer type or segment.
Wrong price basis
A claim calculated from the wrong price list, or an out-of-date version of the right one.
Quantity mismatch
Claimed units that exceed what the partner actually shipped or sold.
Amendments not applied
A change to the terms that the claim was never updated to reflect.
Caps and budgets
Claims that quietly run past a programme cap or the accrual set aside for it.
Under-claims
Money the partner was owed and never asked for — a missed tier, a missed rebate.
Recognise a few of these?
A retrospective runs twelve months of your own claims against their contracts and puts a figure and the evidence against each pattern above — over-claims and under-claims both.
